Copyright Ownership, Author Rights, and Licensing Policy of NADI: Journal of Health Sciences

NADI: Journal of Health Sciences is committed to protecting the intellectual property rights of authors while supporting broad and responsible dissemination of scholarly research through open access publishing.

Authors retain the copyright to their published work and grant the journal the right of first publication. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0), unless otherwise specifically indicated.

1. Copyright Ownership

Authors retain copyright and maintain ownership of the intellectual content of articles published in NADI: Journal of Health Sciences.

By submitting and publishing an article in the journal, authors grant NADI: Journal of Health Sciences the right of first publication and the right to publish, distribute, archive, preserve, display, and disseminate the article as part of the journal's scholarly record.

2. Creative Commons License

Articles published by NADI: Journal of Health Sciences are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).

3. Rights Granted Under the License

Under CC BY-SA 4.0, users may share and adapt material published by the journal, including for commercial purposes, provided that the applicable license conditions are fulfilled.

Permission Description
Share Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
Adapt Remix, transform, translate, and build upon the published material.
Commercial Use Permitted when all applicable CC BY-SA 4.0 conditions are satisfied.

4. License Conditions

Condition Requirement
Attribution Appropriate credit must be given to the original author(s) and publication source, a link to the license should be provided, and changes must be indicated where applicable.
ShareAlike If the material is remixed, transformed, or built upon, the resulting contribution must be distributed under the same or an appropriately compatible license.
No Additional Restrictions Users may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from exercising the rights granted by the license.

5. Author Rights

Authors retain the right to use, distribute, reproduce, and develop their published work in accordance with the applicable license.

Authors may:

  • Use the published article for teaching and academic activities.
  • Share the article with students, colleagues, and research communities.
  • Deposit the article in institutional or subject repositories.
  • Display the article on personal or institutional academic websites.
  • Use appropriate parts of the work in future scholarly publications.
  • Disseminate the article through legitimate scholarly networks while maintaining proper citation and licensing information.

6. Right of First Publication

Authors grant NADI: Journal of Health Sciences the right of first publication of accepted manuscripts.

This right enables the journal to formally publish the article as part of its scholarly record, assign relevant publication metadata, provide online access, preserve the article, and disseminate it through scholarly communication and indexing systems.

7. Self-Archiving

Authors may deposit and share their published articles in institutional repositories, subject repositories, personal academic websites, or other legitimate scholarly platforms.

When an article is deposited or shared elsewhere, authors are encouraged to identify the original publication in NADI: Journal of Health Sciences and provide the DOI or link to the official journal version where available.

8. Third-Party Materials

The CC BY-SA 4.0 license applies to material for which the authors and journal have the authority to license. Certain photographs, figures, tables, datasets, instruments, or other third-party materials may be subject to separate copyright or licensing conditions.

Authors are responsible for obtaining appropriate permission for copyrighted third-party materials where permission is required and for clearly identifying any material that is not covered by the article's Creative Commons license.

9. Proper Attribution

Anyone who shares, reproduces, distributes, adapts, or otherwise uses material published by the journal must provide appropriate acknowledgement of the original authorship and source.

Appropriate attribution should normally include:

  • Name(s) of the original author(s).
  • Title of the article.
  • Name of NADI: Journal of Health Sciences.
  • Volume, issue, year, and publication information where appropriate.
  • DOI or permanent article link where available.
  • Reference to the CC BY-SA 4.0 license.
  • Indication of any modification, adaptation, or translation made to the original work.

10. Integrity of Published Works

Permission to reuse or adapt published material does not permit users to misrepresent the original research, authorship, findings, conclusions, or context of an article.

Adaptations must not imply endorsement by the original authors, NADI: Journal of Health Sciences, or the publisher unless such endorsement has been explicitly provided.

11. Copyright Infringement

The journal respects intellectual property rights and will consider legitimate concerns regarding unauthorized use, copyright infringement, plagiarism, or inappropriate reproduction of published materials.

Where a credible copyright concern is identified, the journal may investigate the matter and take appropriate editorial or post-publication action in accordance with its Publication Ethics policy.
