Attribution Requirements

When reusing content published by WUJUD, users should provide appropriate attribution. Attribution should, whenever reasonably possible, include:

  • Name(s) of the original author(s).
  • Title of the published article.
  • WUJUD: Journal of Engineering and Technology as the original publication source.
  • Volume, issue, year, and other relevant bibliographic information.
  • Digital Object Identifier (DOI), where available.

Author Rights

Authors retain copyright and may continue to use and disseminate their published work in accordance with the applicable license. Authors may:

  • Use the article for teaching and scholarly presentations.

Rights Granted to the Journal

By submitting and publishing an accepted article, the author(s) authorize WUJUD: Journal of Engineering and Technology to publish the work as the original publisher, reproduce and distribute the published version, make it openly accessible, register and maintain bibliographic metadata and persistent identifiers, submit metadata to indexing and abstracting services, and preserve the article as part of the permanent scholarly record.

Right of First Publication

Authors grant the journal the right of first publication of an accepted manuscript. The published version will identify WUJUD: Journal of Engineering and Technology as the original publication venue and will include the applicable bibliographic information, licensing statement, and Digital Object Identifier (DOI), where available.

Third-Party Copyrighted Material

Authors are responsible for ensuring that figures, photographs, illustrations, tables, datasets, maps, software, technical drawings, diagrams, and other third-party materials included in their manuscripts may lawfully be reproduced. Where permission is required, authors must obtain the appropriate permission from the copyright holder before publication and provide proper acknowledgement of the source.

Third-Party License Exceptions

The journal's CC BY-SA 4.0 license applies to material for which the author(s) hold the necessary rights. Third-party material that is reproduced under a different license, permission, or copyright arrangement may be excluded from the article's Creative Commons license when this is clearly indicated in the relevant credit line or source acknowledgement.

Author Responsibility

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscript does not unlawfully infringe copyright, intellectual property rights, privacy rights, contractual restrictions, or other rights belonging to third parties. Proper citation does not automatically replace the need for copyright permission when permission is legally required.

Repository and Self-Archiving

Authors are permitted to deposit and disseminate the published version of their articles through institutional repositories, subject repositories, academic websites, and other legitimate scholarly platforms. Authors are encouraged to include a complete citation to the original publication, the article DOI, and a reference to the applicable CC BY-SA 4.0 license.

No Additional Restrictions

Users may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from exercising the rights granted under the applicable Creative Commons license. Reuse must remain consistent with the attribution, ShareAlike, and other requirements of CC BY-SA 4.0.

Scholarly Integrity and Proper Citation

Open licensing does not remove the obligation to follow scholarly citation and research integrity standards. Material reused from WUJUD must not be presented as another person's original work, and all reuse must comply with appropriate attribution and publication ethics requirements.

Corrections and Retractions

Copyright and open-access status do not prevent the journal from issuing corrections, errata, corrigenda, expressions of concern, or retractions when required to protect the integrity of the scholarly record. When an article is corrected or retracted, its bibliographic record and relevant publication notices will be maintained transparently.
