Indexing & Abstracting

The Journal of Applied Economics & Business (JAEB) is a newly established scholarly journal published by Velora Indonesia. The journal is currently developing its publication record, editorial governance, metadata quality, and technical infrastructure to support wider national and international scholarly visibility.

JAEB is committed to providing accurate and transparent information concerning its indexing, abstracting, discovery, identification, and accreditation status. The journal does not claim inclusion in any database, indexing service, accreditation system, or registration service before its status can be verified through an official and active record.

Current Discoverability

Google Scholar

Articles published by JAEB are currently discoverable through Google Scholar.

Google Scholar supports the discovery of scholarly articles through article titles, author names, abstracts, keywords, references, and other publication metadata available on the journal website.

JAEB maintains article pages and publication files to support accurate discovery through Google Scholar. Each published article should contain:

  • A complete and specific article title;
  • The full names of all authors;
  • Complete institutional affiliations;
  • An abstract;
  • Relevant keywords;
  • The publication date;
  • The volume and issue number;
  • A page range or article number;
  • A complete reference list;
  • A permanent article URL;
  • Copyright and licensing information.

The journal will provide a direct verification link to its Google Scholar records or citation profile when the relevant profile is available and publicly accessible.

Electronic ISSN Status

JAEB is currently preparing its application for an Electronic International Standard Serial Number (e-ISSN).

The journal will not display or claim an e-ISSN before the number has been formally issued by the authorized ISSN authority.

After the e-ISSN has been officially assigned, the journal will update:

  • The journal homepage;
  • The About the Journal page;
  • The article template;
  • The header and footer of published articles;
  • The issue archive;
  • The OJS journal metadata;
  • The Author Guidelines;
  • The Publication Ethics page;
  • The Indexing and Abstracting page;
  • Relevant indexing and registration applications.

The official e-ISSN will be displayed consistently across all journal pages, article files, metadata records, and external profiles.

Planned Indexing and Registration Development

After obtaining an official e-ISSN and establishing a consistent publication record, JAEB may submit applications to relevant national and international services.

Potential future services may include:

  • GARUDA;
  • Science and Technology Index (SINTA);
  • Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ);
  • Crossref for DOI registration;
  • Dimensions;
  • ROAD;
  • BASE;
  • Other reputable scholarly discovery and indexing services.

The services listed above represent development plans only. They must not be interpreted as confirmed indexing, registration, accreditation, or membership.

A service will be added to the verified indexing list only after:

  • The journal has completed the required registration or evaluation process;
  • An official journal or article record is publicly available;
  • The journal title and publisher information are accurate;
  • The journal's e-ISSN is connected to the correct record;
  • A direct and active verification link can be provided.

Future National Accreditation

JAEB plans to apply for national journal accreditation through the Science and Technology Index after meeting the applicable requirements concerning publication history, publication regularity, editorial governance, peer review, article quality, metadata, ethics, citation, accessibility, and journal management.

JAEB must not be described as a SINTA-indexed or SINTA-accredited journal before an official accreditation decision has been issued.

After accreditation, the journal will display:

  • The official SINTA rank;
  • The accreditation decree number;
  • The accreditation validity period;
  • A direct link to the official SINTA journal profile.

Metadata Development

JAEB is developing complete and consistent article metadata to support scholarly discovery and future indexing applications.

The journal seeks to maintain metadata that include:

  • The journal title;
  • The journal abbreviation;
  • The publisher name;
  • The e-ISSN after formal issuance;
  • The publication frequency;
  • The volume and issue number;
  • The publication date;
  • The article title;
  • The full names of all authors;
  • Author affiliations and countries;
  • ORCID iDs when available;
  • The abstract;
  • Keywords;
  • The article language;
  • The reference list;
  • The permanent article URL;
  • The DOI after DOI registration becomes active;
  • The Creative Commons license;
  • Funding and conflict-of-interest information when applicable.

Metadata entered into OJS must remain consistent with the information presented in the article PDF, issue page, article landing page, citation format, and future indexing records.

Open Journal Systems and Scholarly Discovery

JAEB uses Open Journal Systems to manage submissions, peer review, editorial decisions, issue publication, article metadata, and the online journal archive.

The journal platform is prepared to support scholarly discovery through structured metadata and metadata-harvesting mechanisms when these functions are properly configured.

Technical compatibility with a discovery or harvesting system does not automatically mean that JAEB has been formally indexed or accepted by that service.

Verification of Indexing Claims

Before displaying the name or logo of an indexing, registration, accreditation, or discovery service, the editorial office must verify:

  • The exact journal title;
  • The publisher name;
  • The journal URL;
  • The e-ISSN, after issuance;
  • The existence of an official journal or article record;
  • The active verification link;
  • The actual function and status of the service.

JAEB will not:

  • Present a submitted application as confirmed acceptance;
  • Claim e-ISSN registration before the official number is issued;
  • Claim SINTA accreditation before an official decision is available;
  • Claim DOAJ inclusion before an active journal record exists;
  • Describe DOI registration as equivalent to journal indexing;
  • Use the indexing status of another journal with a similar title;
  • Display an indexing logo without verifiable evidence;
  • Publish fabricated rankings, impact factors, or indexing claims.

Indexing Status Updates

This page will be updated when JAEB receives:

  • An official e-ISSN;
  • An active DOI registration prefix;
  • A verified indexing or abstracting record;
  • A national accreditation decision;
  • An official repository or library record;
  • Another verified scholarly discovery service.

Each confirmed service will be displayed with a direct link to the official JAEB record.
