Journal of Consumer and Business Psychology

 

The Journal of Consumer and Business Psychology (JCBP) does not charge authors any fees at any stage of the submission and publication process. Manuscript submission, editorial screening, peer review, revision, copyediting, layout preparation, proofreading, publication, and online access are provided entirely free of charge.

JCBP also does not charge readers for accessing, downloading, reading, or sharing published articles in accordance with the journal's open access license.

No Hidden or Additional Charges

JCBP does not impose hidden, optional, administrative, expedited review, editing, certificate, metadata, archive, color figure, supplementary file, or post-publication charges. Authors are not required to purchase journal membership, printed copies, certificates, or any additional service as a condition of review, acceptance, or publication.

Authors should not make payments to editors, reviewers, editorial board members, journal staff, agents, or other individuals claiming that payment is required to accelerate review, secure acceptance, schedule publication, or obtain preferential editorial treatment.

Fee Waivers

Because JCBP does not charge any submission, processing, review, or publication fees, authors do not need to request a fee waiver or discount. The free publication policy applies equally to all authors regardless of nationality, institutional affiliation, academic position, funding status, or geographic location.

Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are based exclusively on the manuscript's scientific quality, originality, methodological soundness, relevance to the journal's aims and scope, ethical compliance, and contribution to knowledge. Financial considerations do not influence reviewer selection, editorial recommendations, acceptance decisions, publication order, or publication timing.

Journal Operational Support

The journal's editorial, technical, publication, and dissemination activities are supported by the publisher and other legitimate institutional resources. Such support does not grant sponsors, institutions, or supporting parties authority over peer review, editorial decisions, publication ethics investigations, or the scientific content of published articles.

Full Fee Transparency

JCBP does not charge authors or readers. This statement must be displayed consistently on the journal website, submission information, author guidelines, publication agreement, and other official journal communications. Any future change to the fee policy will be announced publicly before it takes effect and will not be applied retrospectively to manuscripts already submitted.
