OA

Immediate and Free Access

JCBP makes the complete text and associated publication metadata of every article available immediately after publication. No subscription, access fee, login requirement, or institutional authentication is imposed on readers.

Permitted Uses

Under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license, users may exercise the following rights.

Read and Download

Users may access, read, download, save, and print published articles without requesting prior permission from the journal or authors.

Copy and Redistribute

Users may copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format, including institutional and subject repositories.

Adapt and Transform

Users may remix, transform, translate, or build upon the material for academic, educational, professional, or commercial purposes.

Conditions of Reuse

Attribution

Users must give appropriate credit to the authors, cite the original article, provide a link to the applicable license, and indicate whether changes were made. Attribution must not imply that the authors or JCBP endorse the user or the adapted work.

ShareAlike

When users remix, transform, translate, or build upon an article, the resulting work must be distributed under the same CC BY-SA 4.0 license or another license officially recognized as compatible.

Users may not impose legal terms, technological restrictions, digital rights management, or additional contractual conditions that prevent others from exercising the rights permitted by the CC BY-SA 4.0 license.

Copyright and Publishing Rights

Authors retain copyright and moral rights over their published work. By submitting an accepted manuscript for publication, the authors grant JCBP a non-exclusive right to publish, reproduce, distribute, archive, index, preserve, and identify the journal as the original publisher of the article.

Authors are not required to transfer full ownership of copyright to the journal. The journal may require authors to complete a License to Publish or equivalent publication agreement confirming the non-exclusive publishing rights and the application of the CC BY-SA 4.0 license.

Author Distribution and Self-Archiving

Personal and Institutional Websites

Authors may share the submitted, accepted, or published version of their article on personal websites and official institutional websites.

Institutional and Subject Repositories

Authors may deposit their articles in institutional repositories, subject repositories, public archives, and academic networking services.

Teaching and Research Use

Authors may reuse the article in teaching materials, academic presentations, books, dissertations, reports, and subsequent scholarly works with proper citation.

When depositing or redistributing the published version, authors should include the complete citation, article DOI, link to the official journal page, and a statement identifying the applicable CC BY-SA 4.0 license.

Third-Party Material

The CC BY-SA 4.0 license applies to the original content of an article unless otherwise stated. Photographs, figures, tables, instruments, datasets, excerpts, or other materials owned by third parties may be subject to different copyright or licensing conditions.

Authors are responsible for obtaining written permission to reproduce third-party material when permission is required. Any material excluded from the article's open access license must include a clear credit line identifying the copyright holder and the applicable terms of use.

Supplementary Materials and Research Data

Supplementary files published as part of an article are normally made openly accessible under the same license unless another license or access condition is clearly stated. Research data deposited in an external repository remain subject to the license and access conditions selected by the authors or data repository.

Open access does not require disclosure of confidential, personally identifiable, legally restricted, culturally sensitive, commercially protected, or ethically restricted information. Authors must protect research participants and comply with applicable consent, privacy, and data protection requirements.

Discoverability and Machine-Readable Access

JCBP provides article metadata and publication information through its journal platform to support indexing, discovery, citation, digital preservation, harvesting, and scholarly communication. Published articles may be harvested, indexed, linked, and archived by recognized search engines, academic databases, library systems, repositories, and preservation services.

Automated access and text or data mining must respect website security, privacy, technical capacity, applicable laws, and the terms of the CC BY-SA 4.0 license.

Publication Charges and Reader Access

Reader Access

Readers are not charged to access, download, or read articles published by JCBP. Open access remains available regardless of whether the journal applies an article processing charge to authors.

Editorial Independence

Payment or waiver of an article processing charge does not influence peer review, reviewer selection, editorial recommendations, acceptance decisions, publication scheduling, or the application of this open access policy.

Long-Term Access and Preservation

JCBP seeks to maintain the continuing availability of published articles through journal archiving, repository deposit, metadata distribution, and appropriate digital preservation arrangements. Published content should remain accessible even when the journal website experiences technical disruption or the publication platform changes.

Corrections, retractions, and expressions of concern remain openly accessible and are linked to the related article to preserve the integrity and transparency of the scholarly record.

Application of the Policy

This open access policy applies to all research articles, review articles, methodological papers, applied studies, editorials, corrections, retractions, and other content published by JCBP unless a different access condition is expressly stated.

The license statement displayed on the article page and published article file constitutes the official licensing information for that work. Authors and users should refer to the applicable license notice when reusing published material.

Policy Consistency

JCBP applies this open access policy consistently to all authors and published content. The same copyright and licensing information should appear on the journal website, article landing pages, publication metadata, License to Publish document, and every published article galley.
